[one] I got ready in the dark this morning thanks to the electric pole that was split in half by either the wind or the family of coons that live on my roof ate it for breakfast. If I had a dollar for every time I tried to turn on a light this morning only to stand there puzzled in the dark, I would have enough money to not have to go to work today. I had to go to Sonic for coffee and it's really good to me. I drink my coffee black, but if I go to Sonic, they give half and half and it's SO GOOD. On the upside, it is a whole lot easier to look in the mirror in the dark...the image staring back is a whole lot less frightening. Makes me thank the Good Lord for Thomas Edison.
[three] My group of students who are members of The Future Business Leaders of America have put together six shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. It warms my heart. We watched the video of the kids that receive our boxes and all the boxes sent, and it makes us realize just how lucky we are. I am a sucker at Christmas. I have always had such a good one, and I want to share that feeling with others. So I guess that whole electricity thing really doesn't matter. The kids that get our boxes don't have it, or running water, or even a toothbrush. I also love to give a gift. I really mean when I say I would rather give than receive. I mean it. If I were a rich man, I would give and give and give. Even better when it's a gift that is anonymous.
[four] Warning. Vulgor. My favorites, as of late.
have a good weekend, y'all.
until next time...
