the one about simple minds..

OOOOOOOO WEEEEEEEEEEEE! I have PISSED some people off with the ELF POST! Simple minded people who don't know how to take a joke because they are too busy pinning elf ideas don't need to be reading my blog anyway... I really don't care what you think, but I am open to comments, ugly texts, and emails...I love that an elf sparked so much controversy!! What I love more are my friends who do some of the things I mentioned, but still called me out on it in a humorous way [insert you, Laura--you know I love you--you asked me to watch your baby be born for crying out loud!] Lighten up, people...

Let's get a few things straight though, because I don't like being accused of something I didn't do: I never told anyone how to raise your children--I gently suggested a few options. I also did not have any one person in mind when I listed some examples...And to be frank, I am kind of a big deal and I have followers from all over the US, so more than likely it wasn't you __________. Now, had I given advice about things how to not be a biotch...then sure that would be you. To assume is risky....Sorry I'm not sorry.

While I did get a few bits of negativity, the people who liked the post were far more than those who were offended. So THANKS for that! I do know that some people really need to take a chill pill. It's Christmastime! All should be Holly Stanfield and Jolly! Now stop reading, and go move your elf.

Well, not yet--I have a few other things to discuss-like this weather that's supposed to be so bad. I kind of hope it's not bad because that just means we will have to go to school until it's time to put the Patriotic Prick on the Shelf out...I want the snow to come on MLK Holiday so I can drink 40's and eat fried chicken don't have to take any personal days when I am in Anguilla.

Carrie Underwood is Maria von Trapp tonight in the live televised production of The Sound of Music. I have never seen that whole movie (gasp) because it seems really boring to me, but I will watch tonight because Carrie is hot [and I know she is pregnant..I called that after the CMA Awards..], and I watched the making of it and it took a lot of work to produce this.. If you missed the SNL special on NBC last night, it was good. Funny.

Happy Thursday, everyone!

until next time...

  2. We have an elf that is the joke of our family....we paired it with this clucking Easter chicken that poops eggs one night at our A-bar. Let's just say the picture that was shown on Facebook of said elf riding the chicken like a "pony" while drinkking a bottle of beer was not a huge hit with my grandma (who has Facebook.....weird). But, you can't stop a bunch of drunken 30 year olds from doing their thannnnng. Tis the season! :)

    1. totally agree! I had my friend's kid's elf in, let's just say, a compromising position with Barbie last year...This was only after my friend set an alarm on her phone to remind her to move the elf!! Thanks for commenting!!

  3. Hate. the Elf. With a passion. But you did ask for it. You even pointed out in your post yesterday that you were going to piss people off. So doing a post about how people are so simple minded because they got mad at a post you did knowing you were going to make people mad...is kind of simple minded. But I still hate the Elf and love your blog.

  7. Did you know that they named the storm Cleon? That would make a good elf name...just sayin'.

Carrie's prego? I was thinking that, too. She looked a little...fluffy? Good for her, though. She has a hot husband!

  8. From the title of your post I thought it was going to be about how Britney Spears keeps telling people she likes that her new bf is simple minded. Have you seen any of her recent interviews? I keep thinking, eh, that's not really a compliment, Brit. Good thing she's famous and hot, because she is not smart.

    1. I agree..she also doesn't have much of a sense of humor...Good thing she's hot...but she has to learn to stop making that awful, double-chin face....

  11. Dying to know what you thought of the Sound of Music. I love Carrie Underwood to pieces, but ehhhh. And yeah I totally think she's pregnant after seeing her in some of the costumes last night. If so I'll be thrilled, for no good reason because it has zero impact on my life. Just like being an elf on a shelf "hater" has zero impact on my life. Thanks for staying true! Love your posts!
